1) We organized handover cum farewell party for seniors in July / August last year.
2) Library was opened for students during SPM and STPM examinations.
3) During the November / December holidays, the entire content of the library were shifted out into the adjacent classes to give way for a facelift for the library. The walls of the reference room were broken down, creating a more spacious and conducive environment for studying. Lol. On the last day after we librarians finished our work, Puan Cecilia gave us a treat at Pizza Hut. =)
4) Old books were donated away.
5) In January, the librarians took turns on their respective duty days to fix the racks and rearrange the books.
6) Library was then open to students after CNY break (February).
7) New automation system was set up and hundreds of new books were catalogued by our dedicated automation team.
8) In conjunction with the 116th anniversary of ACS, librarians had a mini exhibition at the foyer, displaying magazines from yester years.
9) Some librarians attended a leadership camp at Langkawi from 2nd – 5th April.
10) Nilam month was launched on 6th April. Students with highest amount of books read were awarded certificates and trophies.
11) New librarians were recruited for new season (09 / 10). The interview was conducted from 30th - 31st July 2009. Some 32 probation librarians were interviewed.
12) Library month was launched on 6th July with a rather quirky yet easily remembered theme ‘An apple a day keeps the doctor away’. There were lots of activities conducted such as daily quizzes, poster competition, crossword puzzles and also the fun-filled and exciting Explorace which was held on 11th July.
